We’ve identified some changes that we believe will make the Crowne Plaza Tysons Corner hotel a better place to stay for all our guests. Our exciting new enhancements are designed to spread across all facets of the Crowne Plaza Tysons Corner and touch all our valued guests creating a new experience at the Crowne Plaza Tysons Corner.
We have come up with fun, new features that will be a part of the following areas:
The Lobby
Ensuring that all guests are greeted, recognized, and welcomed to their desired destination is at heart of the Crowne Plaza lobby service experience. As a result of this, we are offering The Crowne Guest Director role. The Crowne Guest Director will welcome guests and ensure they have everything needed to make the most out of their trip.
In addition to this, the Crowne Guest Director will assist guests with two new pieces of technology:
- Check In/Out Kiosk: The touch-screen Kiosk provides a quick and easy self-service option for check-in and check-out. However, a full service front desk is always available for assistance.
- Information Board: The touch-screen Information Board has all the latest details on happenings around town, hotel amenities, and upcoming events. Complete with maps, local weather and flight statuses, it’s an interactive tool that makes it easy for our guests to get useful information during their stay.

Our Meeting Space
As you know, a critical component of Crowne Plaza is focused on delivering a better meetings experience for our guests. In talking with customers and Meeting Planner’s, we have identified unmet needs in the meeting space. As a result of this, we have developed two new, innovative meeting spaces that we are offering… And the Crowne Plaza Tysons Corner is one of only two hotels in the world currently offering these spaces:
- Ideation Room: Some meetings require more than a basic room; they need a creative and stimulating environment. Crowne Plaza's Ideation Room provides a fresh take on the traditional meeting space. An interactive three-in-one whiteboard, plasma screen televisions for presentations, creative activities intended to invigorate the group as well as flexible seating and tables provide multiple options to create the ideal space for brainstorming, idea generation, etc.
- Lobby Connect Lounge: Whether impromptu or planned, the Lobby Connect Lounge allows guests to have everything they need for a successful informal meeting. Clustered, movable seating, WiFi and a Meet & Eat menu help to provide a flexible, comfortable and productive environment. Key features include:
- Media ScapeTechnology: Enables colleagues to share their presentations, work or photos with the click of a button
- Power-enabled tables: Allows guests to easily charge all of their electronic devices
- Meet and Eat Menu: Offers quick eating options, beverages and business support services

Guestrooms
Sleep Advantage Enhancements - Getting a great night's sleep can be a real challenge for some, especially when travelling. In fact, nearly 70% of adults experience difficulties sleeping. In 2004, we launched Sleep Advantage, a comprehensive bundle of products and services focused on improving our guests' entire sleep experience.
To enhance the total sleep experience moving forward, we are offering a variety of new features to 52 of our guestrooms:
- Upgraded bed linen: Offering superior quality and comfort
- New sleep and bath branded amenities: Allowing our guests to relax, unwind and get an even better night’s sleep
- Docking station: Enabling guests to enjoy their own music based on their mood
- Bedside lighting: Flexible lighting so that guests can work and rest easier
In addition to these new initiatives, we will continue to provide our guests with the signature Sleep Advantage services including:
- Quiet Zone Floors: Specially designed floors to ensure no housekeeping or maintenance activities occur between 9pm and 10am
- Guaranteed Wake-Up Call: Our way of easing the anxiety with oversleeping. Guests will receive a wake-up call at the requested time or their night is free

In-Room Dining
Crowne Plaza's new In-Room Dining & Services menu lets guests order what they want, when they want it, depending on their mood. Whether our guests are working late, feel like sampling the local fare or in the mood to celebrate, we've got them covered.
We’ve also developed a room service delivery experience where guests don’t have to struggle with an awkward tray, balance a plate on their lap or fight with the guest room door when they are done. Crowne Plaza's custom Smartware provides the perfect balance of form and function for guest’s in-room dining treat. And, our new Bento Box food delivery system ensures that food arrives at the right temperature and our space saving design means it won’t clutter up the room.
